Alfie Collection

Este's art is informed by the real and the imaginary. Her background in textile and ceramic design is noticeable in the stylised, abundant and colourful forms used in her paintings. Although shapes are distorted and altered, there is a strong sense of the familiar. Este's work always retains a freshness with her layering colours, patterns, textures and mark making, and her trademark floral and simplified plant forms. Born in South Africa, Este has been living in England since 2000. She lives in Berkshire with her husband and teenage son.
Her debut fabric collection, Alfie, will be produced by Windham Fabrics. Este said it's really exciting to see her paintings transformed into digital art and realised as textile designs.
